Bunnatine Greenhouse
Former Chief Contracting Officer US Army Corps of Engineers
"I firmly believe that integrity in government is not an option. It's actually an imperative, it's an obligation"
- Bunnatine Greenhouse

Bunnatine Greenhouse is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. She holds a Master of Science, Business Management from University Central Texas, a Master of Science, Engineering Management from George Washington University, and a Master of Science in National Resources Strategy from the National Defense University. Greenhouse was selected by General Ballard, former commander of the US Army Corps of Engineers, as the principal assistant responsible for contracting. It was during this time that Mrs. Greenhouse became concerned with the amount of Iraq-related work given to Halliburton by the Corps without competition. “I walked into a process that was corrupt, that was geared towards preferential treatment to KBR” says Greenhouse, calling it the “most blatant abuse that I had experienced in my contracting career.” After going public with her concerns, she was subsequently demoted and removed from the Senior Executive Service, the top rank of civilian government employees. Bunnatine Greenhouse has since been recognized for bravely standing against contracting misconduct and asserting the rights of whistleblowers to expose such abuses.
