Exposing the Contractor Chain

An article today from the Virginia-Pilot reports on a two year investigation which is finally exposing the trail of taxpayer dollars which paid Blackwater during the time of the Fallujah massacre in March 2004. Extensive research by the Army has uncovered that Blackwater was hired by two intermediary companies - Regency Hotel & Hospital Co., and ESS Worldwide Services with KBR being at the top of the chain, ultimately billing the government. Last week federal investigators uncovered $10 billion of $57 billion squandered on overcharges or unreported expenses. Virginia-Pilot:

A January 2005 audit of a different Blackwater contract, with the State Department, found that Blackwater was charging the government separately for "drivers" and "security specialists," who were in fact the same people. The audit also found that Blackwater was improperly including profit in its overhead costs, resulting "not only in a duplication of profit, but also a pyramiding of profit because, in effect, Blackwater is applying profit to profit."

Maybe the driver was driving with one hand and shooting with the other. You must be joking.

I have a friend who works for the DNR who shows up at work once every two weeks whether he needs to or not. He puts in his time card, pens in things to do on the calender so nobody expects him to be in the office, and comes back in two weeks to start the same arduous process all over again. The State is well aware of it, but he is evidently one of the hardest workers in the office, so they overlook it. Oh, and he is a third generation Wisconsin Public servant, so this makes him untouchable. They even ask for family background as to whether or not other family members are a part of State employment giveaway, and it stands out as a particular qualifier for one of these do nothing jobs, and qualifies you for the end of the year sweepstakes - The perpetual tax return.

For his sake and the sake of all of the public servants out there, we should straighten this matter out with Blackwater very quickly, so these State workers don't actually have to earn a living. Yes of course he votes Demacrat, how else would he be able to feed himself?? This precise behavior has been going on for 5 years, except when he went to Alaska for 2 months because he had accrued so much "Comp" time for all of the overtime he didn't work.

Prior to that this dedicated DNR man "watching over the forest" as the governor calls it, showed up for enough weeks every year(never worked more than 40 days per year) during the entire summer to accrue 6 extra weeks of "Comp" time every year on top of his normal vacation and sick leave. After ten years of this and paying him fifty cents per mile to drive to Cabella's every week, or not to, we soon get to pay for him when he retires officially.

Five years ago my State government also had to finally fire someone who had been telecommuting from Hawaii for eight years prior to that. The job paid $$80,000 per year, and nobody knew the woman was in Hawaii the whole time, except when she was on vacation and came back to Wisconsin. Big mistake, especially since she was not even a resident of Wisconsin.

How about this one. The hard work of being the State Auditor here, forced the accountants to all have to move to a hotel in New Orleans for a working vacation, paid, and this went on for weeks, then months, and I am not sure if they are back in Wisconsin yet. Around Christmas I phoned the governors office to ask why I am paying for people to have their entire office staff in New Orleans and house them in one of their finest hotels. The governor's staff assured me that they were working while they were down there. My guess is that they are still down there, and still not working.

The governor is too important to talk to me. And he has been embezzling money ever since he got back from the vacations he was on for the entire first term he was in office. Several corporations paid for his vacations, and we paid him to do nothing the whole first term(not all bad), until he got back into the State and gave the DNR and the School teachers a large financial bribe just before the election. Then the Democrats voted him into office again. My guess is that he will be on trial before the end of the year, but not by any lumber judge or DA from this State.

One female member of his staff already went to Camp Curtsy Penetentary for campaign kick backs for contracts awarded by the governor to her friends and family. She has to water and feed the chickens once a wek and make her own bed while she is there. The governor can make his own bed, but he cannot lay in it.

I was born at night, not last night.
