Walter Reed fiasco tied to former Halliburton executive

Halliburton Watch reports today that a previously undisclosed memo criticized the army's decision to outsource Walter Reed's patient care services to IPA Worldwide Services, saying it caused an exodus of "highly skilled and experienced personnel" and went on to conclude that "patient care services are at risk of mission failure."

The article goes on to report that IPA is run by former Halliburton executive Al Neffgen, who has a history of choosing profit over providing sanity treatment for U.S. troops:

Neffgen was a senior executive with Halliburton when it was serving contaminated food at military dining halls and providing the troops in Iraq with bathing water soiled with human fecal matter. Nevertheless, in January 2006, the army gave Neffgen's company a $120 million "cost-plus" contract for support services and facilities management at Walter Reed hospital.

I think the only thing that they can stay focused on is Blackwater, and Halliburton. If they knew the half of it where I live, they would know that the VA itself has a tendancy to get mean spirited to its veterans.

Sometimes the vets get ornery and for good reason considering the amount of staph infection they have spread around(it has gotten better I hope). They would send them home if they complained and cancel their appointments so they had to beg to get them back. some had terminal deseases that needed treatment, and made you ornary.

As far as I am concerned this country can do what it wants to do, but tell us what to expect up-front, and get out of the way when we go to get it done. If you are going to make the troops beg for health care, then let them negotiate their price to do your dirty work, or start the draft. that would have gotten a lot of them focused.

Most of the people at the VA I saw were good at keeping it together, but it seemed a thin thread for a lot of men.

Oh yes, Evil Halliburton. The care at the VA hospitals was always soooo good. That's why vets with 'normal insurance' from the private sector never ever go to the VA. Not to say sub-standard care is a good thing....as a vet I am very happy to see the VA get a retrofit. But the VA, like any other federal office building, has been messed up since the Nam...maybe before. It is an excellent example of what health care would be like under a governmental health-care-for-all system.

It's unbelievable. They vilify Halliburton and want nothing more than to see it prosecuted, persecuted and bankrupt...until they move their operational HQ to Dubais. Then it's "how dare they.....insult to the troops...positively un-American....". These socialist progressives are brain damaged. They truly represent the 'mindless idiots' of which Lennin spoke. Meanwhile, while their democrat party handlers play them like fiddles, they joyously skip to the next protest with slogans from the 1960's provided by people who wished those years never passed. And behind the scenes, their holy prophets like Geoge 'move on.org' Soros drop $62M for Halliburton stock to increase their personal wealth. At no point does this make these people stop and question what they are being told to do. They just blindly accept the tripe and propaganda that they are fed. Al Gore buys 'carbon credits', known as investment stocks to the rest of us, from a mutual fund company that he owns and receives a salary from all while he crys about warming and the need for 'green' companies. Again, at no time do these non-thinking misfits ever muster enough testosterone to put 2 and 2 together and come up with 4. They just chant their slogans.

Come to Wisconsin where what looks to be fecal matter comes out of the water bubbler about once a week in the Social Sciences building on their best campus. The irony and the water is so thick you can cut it with a knife. The DNR is too busy doing absolutely nothing all winter to bother with doing something about it. Lack of budget? You would not believe their budget.
